Reach Out and Touch the Moon!

I thought I would try a shot of the moon with a Nikon P900 and its 83x zoom. I didn't use a tripod, instead braced myself against the top of the car. It looks almost close enough to touch! I thought the camera did pretty well considering the small sensor.

Wow, fantastic detail. I bet if you were a little bit closer you would see the moon rover tracks on the surface. Very cool.

Very sharp detail! Moon shots are odd. If you make them bright like our eyes see it they don't have detail. But dark shows detail, but doesn't look like we think of it in the sky.
