Trillium Growing Wild on Skinner Butte

This beautiful flower, which looks much like the white Trillium, was growing wild up on Skinner Butte. I am told the color comes on after the white in a later stage. (Thanks Carl, and others.) It is sure a most lovely flower.

The Triliums on the coast start off white and go to this color during the bloom cycle. ovely capture of this, probably my favorite spring flower.

Nice capture. Turns out it is a white trillium that's just on its way to drying up. They turn pink and then purple in the process. :-)
