A Walk In The Forest!

A walk in the forest at Dorris Ranch takes one into nature at its best, a wonderful riparian forest. away from civilization, though one is not much more than a mile from downtown Springfield.

THE FOLLOWING IS FROM 'DORRIS RANCH LIVING HISTORY FARM MASTER PLAN UPDATE:'

"Riparian Forest"

"Dorris Ranch has one of the best examples of bottomland mixed conifer
deciduous forest anywhere in the Willamette Valley. It is located in a rich
ecosystem near the confluence of the Middle and Coast forks of the
Willamette River, and includes relatively rare elements like Valley
Ponderosa pine."
