Fabulous Fuchsia

We received a lovely fuchsia plant for an anniversary gift. To me, it is one of the most beautiful of flowers. I hope this image does it justice. Does anyone know if they attract hummingbirds?

Beautiful image, Vern. don't know if they attract hummers, but the used to attract me and my friends when we were 6 or 7 years old. We'd pull the blossoms off before they opened, and fling them at each other, much to my mother's dismay. And mine, when I got grounded for the offense. . . .

Beautiful! We generally get two for the front porch and hummingbirds are attracted to them. I love the dark background, it really makes the flowers "pop." V

Fuschia is originally from Brazil, Argentina and Chile and do indeed attract hummingbirds! They're also called Lady's Eardrops because of their reminiscent shape of elaborate dangling earrings.
