My reason for including the car hood was exactly what PJ got out of the image. His comment (thank you, PJ) -
Vern,
I love these. Especially the 'Sorta Spooky' picture. Very conveying of the mood and great capture of such haze. It really gives me a feeling of uneasyness, especially how the flow of the tree silhouettes and the converging perspective of the road. Additionally the flow of the hill on the left, overshadowed by the overall silhouette of the forest on the right makes me feel as if I am being sucked into a spiral of an unknown void. Including the dashboard of your vehicle puts me in the image, becoming the eye and not the observer. Great imagery!
PJ
