This poor osprey gallantly stood its ground against an increasing number of vultures, who wanted to share his catch. Several times, the osprey tried to get off the ground with the fish, but it was just too heavy. The osprey ate part of the fish as the vultures gathered. My grandson and I left for a bit and when we came back the osprey was gone and the vultures were eating the remains.
