The five keys in front the transceiver & panadapter (scope) are, from left to right are: 1) 1945 Vibroplex "Lightning Bug" ; 2) a 1936 Vibroplex "Zephyr"; 3) a 1926 Vibroplex "Blue Racer"; 4) a Begali "Intrepid", a modern instrument made recently by a Piero Begali and represents fine Italian craftsmanship and is essentially a improved redesign of the previous three "bugs"; and 5) a Bencher
to the extreme right a chrome Bencher which is 45 years old and rewired to send like a "bug". To the extreme left is another modern-day telegraph key, the Begali HSTII which is well-liked for people who send and receive in competitions, and to the extreme right, next to the mouse is a WWII-vintage telegraph key made in the UK, and finally above is small, blue 'Cootie" or sideswiper key. What I find interesting is the marriage of very old and very modern technology. stn_L1002009.jpg
