Every year at the end of February, the city of Liberia which is in the province of Guanacaste, has the "Fiestas Civico de Liberia".
During these two weeks, the city has parades with traditional clothing and all the men are riding horses along the streets.
Also in these fiestas a Special bull fighting arena is erected specially for the occasion and traditional bull riding events take place.
