A Black Widow that I found this afternoon under a drain culvert. I placed her on a table
to photograph her and she quickly decided that she wanted down, so she scurried off the table,
spun a thread down right between my legs, and was halfway down before I even knew it. Took
about 10 years off my life, but she did stay suspended long enough to get a quick shot.
If you look carefully, you can see the silk thread gripped in one of her legs and being
spun from her abdomen.
