This is Luke Jerram's vast floating sculpture of the Moon made by using state of the art scientific images
and installed to mark the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landing by NASA astronuats in 1969.
This artwork invites us to contemplate the Earth's only natural satellite. It spans 6 metres in diameter, has a scale of 1:600,000.
The artwork's internal 'moonlight' allows visitors to sit and contemplate the lunar surface in exquisite detail.
