MOS Recycle Concept
This is what I saw at MOS burger outlet in Taiwan's train station and I took some pictures of the recycling section. I didn't spend much time looking as I felt funny standing there with my camera taking picture of a recycling outlet like some alien from planet Mars. Ha! It facinated me. And I like the concept.
Lights Out
Cities around the world have been turning out the lights for an hour to highlight the threat of climate change. Sydney was the first major city to begin "Earth Hour", when at 2000 (0900 GMT), lights went out on landmarks like the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. WWF Thailand said the switch-off in Bangkok saved 73.34 megawatts of electricity, which would have produced 45.8 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
Nb: Guys, I am still Missing In Action for the next couple of months. Be back after July, hopefully after I have completed my studies. Thinking of you guys always.
Air Pollution
Air pollution, both indoor and outdoor, is a significant cause of health problems worldwide. Air pollution can also damage the environment and property. Trees, lakes, and animals have been harmed by air pollution.
Recycle Bins
I have seen plastic bins in town but there are other innovative means of recycling practised in other parts of the world. I spotted these during my visit to Bangkok and it was interesting to note they used plastic bags instead of bins.
Adopting the recycle habit, we can help to manage the collection, recycling, reduction and disposal of municipal solid waste in an efficient, cost-effective and safe manner.
Internal Pollution
Smoking is a practice where a substance, most commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke tasted or inhaled. This is primarily done as a form of recreational drug use, as combustion releases the active substances in drugs such as nicotine and makes them available for absorption through the lungs. Do you know that the air pollution emitted by cigarettes is 10 times greater than diesel car exhaust, suggests a controlled experiment, reported in Tobacco Control? Environmental tobacco smoke produces fine particulate matter, which is the most dangerous element of air pollution for health.
Save The World
Conserve and preserve your world. The Earth is heating up.
Save The Trees
Recyle and use less paper.
Scoop The Poop
Your dog poop, you jolly well scoop it up! Be civic minded. Just as in do not litter.
