I would like you to take a moment to ponder and look at this picture and tell me who this person is. For those who have been following his work, you would be able to identify him. He is a renowned photographer, who is passionate about photography and his style is towards `expressive photography'. He uses a Leica D-Lux 3. It was an honour to be able to join him and the rest (Celia, Celia's husband and Tim) on one of their photo expedition to Batu Caves. I decided that I must have a picture of him, as time was limited this was the only shot I had of him.
I posted this shot late last night and by the comments, it would seem that some have guessed it correctly! :D Yes it's the one and only Phil Douglis. Phil and Tim were on their Asian photography tour and stopped by in Kuala Lumpur. I managed to meet up with him. One thing I remembered him telling me (as I have mentioned in The Seasons gallery) about photography is having lots of patience when it comes to capturing beautiful pictures. I took his advice, followed his footsteps and he is RIGHT. It's not matter of just snapping for the sake of snapping. It's composition, thinking and story telling. Your subjects are your actors.
