Timber Top's Shoulder

Kolob Canyons, Zion NP

The shoulder of Timbertop Mountain shows the way its sandstone falls away along a sheer face.

The snowy catchbasin is a hanging valley, draining out over the face and developing new cracks.

Shot with the Nikkor f/2.8 80-200 ED lens with 1.4x Tamron SP extender.

Nikon D2Xs
1/200s f/9.0 at 200.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

That's quite a good shot, especially considered the distance and shutter speed.

The trees give some scale to the massive rock face, great shot

It is quite sharp at that focal length.
