thanks for your comment on my gallery of scanned slides. I have used a program called Neatimage to reduce the graininess in images like this one, especially in large areas of sky. It can be downloaded as a trial and it is kind of fun to play with.Having said that , I find these images look really good with the grain, so maybe leave them alone.
