This couple is heading up the ridge as far as a hiker can go. I did that several times as a youngster (about 40 years old). The last time I did it my heart was weakly beating about 240 beats per second. It was a scary experience. I probably wasn't in shape. I'll bet I could do that now without that happening, but then I would have been so tired by the time I got back to the terribly rooty Top Spur Trail that I would have tripped and killed myself.
