The trailhead promised a leisurely 7 mile round trip hike to the Hamilton Mountain summit, mostly up a grade comfortable for clumsy horses. With so many signs on the way up, I didn't expect to have an attack of amnesia that would cause me to flounder around in circles trying to figure out how to get back!
