P9260084.jpg

This is trouble! Last time I was here in the spring, this landslide (requiring the log steps) wasn't here. I had a real decision to make here. I'd really made my mind up to see Triple Falls and the Oneonta Creek Trail beyond it and decided to go forward, even though I knew there would be hell to pay getting back down. The log steps at the beginning of this landslide are for pituitary cases, not for people of normal cave-man stature, as I have. This was very strenuous going up and I needed help coming back down, the only time in my life I accepted help negotiating a trail from anyone. It was either that humiliation or risking death, and I wanted to live at least until science confirmed that gravity waves really were discovered during the inflationary period of the creation of the universe. That corroboration should take place next year.
