VirtualDubAreaDiInterlacer

VirtualDubAreaDiInterlacer
I had digitized a Umatic after baking it and thee was one section tha did not want to seem to recover.

When I loaded the segment into virtual dub using the stuff I normally use for VHS tape I though that the input and output frames had been drastically offset to to a software failure.

But no. In-fact the turn out the area based de-interlaced turned on in virtual did great job in suppressing the sparkles.

I think this is because only one of the two heads are clogged, so the sparkles are on eery other line. The de-interlacer logic throws out the sparkles and uses the previous line.

Best bake the tape some more.
