The Kind Hearted Constable

This film was sent to us from the Library Of Congress. (George)

The film was scanned in HD on the same machine we use for 8mm, 9.5mm, 16mm, and 35mm film.

However, to create the DivX file the a half resolution master was created as a source for DivX coding

The images below are a few single frames from the scanning process.

Select “original” under image to get one that is way too big.

Horizontal was locked to the black frame edge as it seemed steadier than the registration to the sprockets.

No digital flattening was applied to the film yet.

I measured the download time as about 1 ˝ minutes.

You will notice this is no a first generation of the film as it is very contrasty and you can see the sprocket images of the parents, and perhaps grandparents.
