Lighthouse lamp. Copper foil technique. 20" tall, including Diamondcrete Base. The beacon "window" is made from a round canning jar with the bottom cut out for ventilation. The jar can be quickly unscrewed to change bulbs. I originally hoped that a 25 watt bulb would generate enough heated air current to turn a four-sided bevel "lens" which was balanced over the bulb on a needle point. It didn't work. Instead, I just use a night light bulb, or a flashing bulb for a beacon effect. Planned improvement: replace the round jar with an 8-sided one of smaller size, which will give better "window" effect and match the 8 sides of the lighthouse.
