Before and after pictures.
This window was salvaged from an old family farm house. It was from a Sears catalog home, built around 1900. Bill and Sharon lived in the house for several years and wanted to save the window.
They now have it hanging in their present home.
Over the years, UV radiation from sunlight has reacted with manganese in the glass to turn the outer border pieces a light purple.
Manganese was used in glass manufacturing, instead of lead, due lead needed for bullets in the Civil Wasr.
