Chile. One of the first trips I organized for us and a group of friends in 1996. We started in northern Chile where we had a contact in Arica to rent a car with a driver/guide (Antônio) to take us to the places on the plan I had previously made. The second part of the trip was in Chilean Patagonia, just on our own. Finally, our friends returned and we went to Easter Island.
It was an adventure because there was no internet as we know it today and information was scarce. I remember wasting almost two hours looking for a restaurant in Santiago do Chile, highly recommended in a tourist guide. We later realized that it had closed and no longer existed...
