OK this is something I was playing with which was created by mistake. I had the paper folded, and set up on a black background etc. Set up the 550EX low and left (2ft out and 2ft down), held up a white refelector high and left and fired the shutter.
Now nothing new or strange there, but I'd got the camera in Av mode, and it decided that the ambient light required a shutter speed of 6 seconds. So there I was with camera to eye held in right hand, reflector held high in left hand trying to keep as still as possible for 6 second.
I think the movement has created quite a nice subtle effect, which I quite like. A success for serendipity.
