Ushuaia

Ushuaia, Argentina, the capital city of Tierra del Fuego Province is situated at the north shore of Beagle Channel and nesting at the foothill of snow covered Cerro (Hill) Martial. Ushuaia's the launching point of various excursions to Antarctica and cruises. The city has expanded tremendously over the past decade, maintaining the title of "southernmost" city on earth. Its competitor Puerto Williams of Chile is considered the southernmost "settlement". Ushuaia's main economy are tourism and fishery - this is the place to eat King Crab. Stove and heaters are on year round as the high in the summer is around 50°F
