The Drive

There were a total of 4 drives, each lasted roughly 3 hours: two morning drives from 6-9am, and two evening drives from 4-7pm.

The open top Landrover can travel just about anywhere, crushing small trees and bushes so travelers can get very close so the scene, action. Each vehicle is equipped with a tracker who sits outside the vehicle, checking the paw prints or freshness of dungs; the ranger is also the guide, who are knowledgeable on the animals, plants, and birds; an unloaded rifle in case of danger, flashlights for evening drive; and walkie-talkie and various means of communication system.

Sabi Sabi is a fairly large game reserve. Our lodge is an hour away from the furthest one, thus we never was in that part of the property. Some animals are territorial and others are migratory. We didn't see all the animals we were hoping to see. BUT, we did see the Big Five which was our goal!
