Ballroom dancing is very popular among the retired and unemployed. There are no fancy costumes, elaborate acoustic systems and sound quality; a boom box, an ear for rhythm and a good spirit will do. People simply enjoy the activity. Amazingly, the ballroom classes are mostly taught outdoors, winter and summer, in neighborhoods and parks. The instructor usually puts out a banner to attract the doubtful by standers: "A better dancer guaranteed at the end of each session or your money back."
