The black-browed albatross likes to build nests on cliffs. They return to their homeland for generations, and the nests on the island are unbelievably hundreds of years old. Their wings can reach more than 3 meters in length and weigh no more than 5 kilograms. They can fly thousands of kilometers in search of food. They generally only hatch one chick every 3-4 years, because raising a child requires a double effort from both parents. The biggest danger they face is human beings, who are often trapped by the nets of fishing boats. Not only do they sacrifice themselves, but the babies waiting for them will die as a result, and their wives who are waiting for them must not give up their children for their own survival. These photos were taken on the island of South Georgia.
