I've long loved puffins but had only seen them in (other people's) pictures. This summer I took a trip out to one of the islands in Maine where one can photograph them from blinds. The seas were quite choppy and the transfer to row-boat, to land, to row-boat and back to main boat was scary. I'm so glad I went but I'll not get the nerve up to do it again.
