The crop does work to highlight the flowers but I prefer the composition of the original.

I do prefer this crop..put the focus more on the flowers.

Nancy, I like the crop one much better, the reason being that in the other one when you look at the bottom of the picture you are looking into a gap of brown which drags your eye away from the flowers and the mist which are the main points of the photo.
