This is the first painting showing the "new-style Etléa-Cone" (my older paintings showed an Etléa which was much more flat underneath).
By end of 2003, I started modelling Etléa in Maya 5 (for a CGI-animation), and I became interested in how big this floating island would be in reality.
I did some calculations, and the results were:
1. Etléa is 2.566 m high including the palace on top. It's base floats 200 m above sea level.
2. The circular garden on top is 1.333 m in diameter and covers an area of 345 acres (1.396.215 m² or 140 hectare or 1.4 km²). It has a circumference of 4.189 m. It's middle is 2.000 m above sea level.
3. The palace on top of Etleá is 566 m high. It's base has a diameter of 100 m.
