Unfortunately, Anita was not feeling good and she had a terrible backache during our stay in Florence, but we managed to enjoy ourselves anyway. We spent two nights there, the second of which happened to be the night Italy won the World Cup. That night the streets were filled with very happy Italians! Anita and I were treated to some free champagne when we ordered our gelati that evening.
