My daughter and I have spent the last two days on LSU's campus for Freshman Orientation. While she was being advised and scheduling her classes, we were taken on a tour of the Baton Rouge area. One stop on the tour was the LSU Rural Life Museum. Over 400 acres were donated to LSU by one of its former alumni and professor. It serves as a research area for the agriculture department as well as a working plantation. There are also beautiful gardens which I didn't have time to explore. I will have to go back again. Heidi is scheduled and ready to begin in the fall.
