Let me add to the chorus of folks thinking it was a golf ball (a weird golf ball) on a tee. Wonder if it's edible?

I was going to say what Robin did. Looks like a golf ball. No chance of mushrooms around here, we are so dry. I hope you can dry out for a bit.

It's one of those little puffball ones. When I was a kid we used to kick them. Now that I'm much more mature, I would of course, photograph it. But probably not as well as this. :)

Very good detail Elaine, I am suprised that you are not finding more of these.

These things are so interesting with all their different shapes and colors. Looks like a nice, bright, sunny morning.

Funny little mushroom. I would expect plenty, now that we've finally had rain again.

This is a "lucky mushroom"; kind of like a "lucky bean". You will have good fortune for the rest of the month. Well, two days are better than none.
