Sprucing Up for the First Day of School

I will be going back into the classroom to teach this year and am moving into a brand new school. My classroom isn't ready yet, but should be next Monday, which is the first day for teachers. The kids come a week later. These guys were sprucing up the beams with a fresh coat of paint.

Pretty soon there won't be any schools in the Parish you haven't worked at will there. A fresh coat of paint always works wonders.

Looks pretty modern. I'm surprised the beams are so messed up if it's brand new. Or maybe this is their first coat of paint.

It seems way, way too early to be thinking about school.

What type of teaching do you do? Sounds like they are all ready with a fresh start in a fresh year :)

Um, why does a brand new school need repainting on the beams? I'm missing something. Anyway, enjoy the pre-school year excitement -- it's a fun time!

Brand new and already needs painting. Glad to hear you're going back into the classroom--the children need more teachers like you.

I can see the beams need paint. Best wishes at the new school.

Nice shot. Neat to go teach at a new fresh school.
