Disintegration

Sixty-one pictures later and I still don't have one that I like. I found this skeleton of a leaf laying in the backyard. I thought it would make a good subject.

as someone who has been through these types of image recently, I appreciate how much work it takes to try and get something right... In my opinion you have succeeded. Nice positioning, and sympathetic background

That's a great image - just think how many shots you nearly like that you wouldn't have tried. That magical shot might be the very next :)

Wonderful, Elaine. The subtle shadow adds to the image and I, too, like the background you used.

A great find and nicely lighted too, to reveal its delicacy. Very well done.

To me it signifies the end of winter. The decomposition of fall is almost complete and the soil is ready for new growth. Nice close up and it's a great subject.

So delicate & looks good against the white background too. It has taken me ages to get into your galleries, Elaine & Coleens wont open at all :>(

What a cool find.. never thought of a leaf having a skeleton.. but this one definately qualifies.. Great background choice, really plays up the textures

This is really nice, Elaine. I am trying to figure out what kind of leaf it is. The background is very good to do this.

Really nice, Elaine. You can see the detail really clearly.

Love it! Thought it was fossilized in a rock. Nicely exposed and composed, Elaine.

I am amazed in how whoe this one still is. I know this thing is fragile or must be at least. Wonderful image and great catch.
