Restoration

I found the house that I got stuck behind in traffic a couple of weeks ago http://www.pbase.com/etfitz/image/35227856 They have started to restore it. It has a new roof and they are working on building a porch. I am going to stop by from time-to-time to watch its transformation. You can probably tell that this was taken in the rain... you can see the raindrops - I sure do love my camera, it captures everything!

That would be neat! I'll have to give it a try.

That's a good idea! When you get fed up with the view, just stick your house on the back of a lorry and move it somewhere else!

You could eventually link the photo's and have them moving like a time-lapse!

Nice capture. It looks like it needs a lot of work. It will be interesting to see the transformation.

I think you are right Aunt Coleen. I am planning to stop by and ask the next time I see people out working.

How interesting! I can't believe a house can be moved like that. It'll be fun to watch the progress on the restoration.

Nice picture, Elaine. From the burglar bars I think perhaps it was moved from New Orleans.

By the way, I meant though, not thought, and should have mentioned how sharp and clear this was.

Good shot lots of detail, you can tell the pitch of the roof, how large the spectacular front porch will be, the colors of the brick trim that will be used and that they will have a fairly large yard

It looks as thought it will be a nice place when they finish. It pleases me when people take the time to restore old properties. I wonder where it came from originally?

Nice exposure here to keep the roof separate from the sky. It will be fun to watch the progress.

I hope they take that ugly black grill-work off the doors and windows. It doesn't match the casual look of the house.
