I did my Master's thesis on A. diadematus, and that involved a lot of photography, more of the webs than the actual spiders. This is an absolutely stunning shot, the detail and lighting is breathtaking (especially as you didn't use any flash). Huge kudos Ernst.

I used as an add-on to my G2 only my close-up lens. It's a Hoya achromatic +5 diopters. Similar to the original Canon macro lens - only a bit smaller. I used no flash for that picture of the spider.
