Saturn 15-APR-2002

N47°26'22.3" / E 8°31'28.1"

Saturn with its rings. Through Zeiss 1200/150mm APO refractor
with ScopeTronix 40mm MaxVue eyepiece. Afocal with T-adapter
coupling. Sensitivity equivalent: 100 ASA. Composite picture
of eight underexposed frames. The reason for this is the
wobbling picture of Saturn after passing through the dynamic
atmosphere. By using very short exposure times blur of the
picture can be minimized. The program AstroStack auto-aligns
the unsteady position of Saturn in the stack of pictures.
The under-exposed pictures are added and blended
into an acceptable result. Astro
--> Look at the wonders of the sky...
