Trailer Reload Hook

Southern Vancouver Island

Another old, rusty piece of iron...all I did was look up and there it was, 'hanging from the sky'. This device hangs from a large metal frame that is used to attach empty trailers to logging trucks. The hook is lowered and an operator attaches it to a cable on an empty trailer. The trailer is raised, the logging truck backs up to the trailer and the trailer is lowered onto the truck. When everything is road ready, the hook is removed.

The reds of the rusty metal are a lovely contrast to that wonderful BC sky! Wonderful shot, I like the stark simplicity of it...V

Your explanation is much appreciated. I always wondered how they got those trailers stacked. Some nice heavy duty metal.
