The ponds and bogs on Southern Vancouver Island have numerous flowering plants right now, one of
the hardiest and most prolific is the water iris. Water Iris is also a frequently used flower in
landscaping around private ponds as it looks good all of the time, even though it only flowers
briefly in spring.
