Getting down the hill with the rest of the herd was the main objective of these three cow elk. The dust from about 30 other elk that were coming down the hill was extreme and you can see in the image that the air was hazy from it. We watched, awed, as all the elk crossed in front of us and we both took photos as fast as the camera would work.
