Heading for the Timber

Vancouver Island, BC

Bald Eagles live near large bodies of open water such as lakes, marshes, seacoasts and rivers, where there are plenty of fish to eat and tall trees for nesting and roosting. This one was heading for the trees when we caught sight of him and luckily I had time enough to grab the camera and get a shot.
