This one is edited more than I generally do. The water at the bottom is more or less as is. But the mountains were blown out. Because the horizon of the mountains and their shadow on the lake was literally horizontal down to the pixel, I selected that large section and toned down the brightness a bit. I can't recall another instance of a pic on the site that I have selected a portion of a photo and changed just one part of the photo, partly because I'd rather not do that and partly because I have neither photoshop nor the requisite skills for these manipulations. Essentially it is the same function as that of a grad ND filter. The results are OK, much better than the original but still flawed. The sky has that light look that I don't like. The water and the composition are fine. Morning light would have been the way to go but I wasn't there in the morning.
