Smoky Peak

This is another shot from Aasgard around lunchtime. Terrible smoke. More for posterity than for scenery. I don't even know what this is, Colchuck peak maybe. I didn't even bother to orient myself to the peaks since I could hardly see them. Colchuck or Dragontail would seem to be the choices and I kinda think it is not Dragontail. Don't really know though.

Thanks for the compliments and the info. I should have tried to figure out what was what at the time but I was too busy looking at the scenery.

It was a great trip but the fire put some limitations on us. Little Annapurna was off limits, the Colchuck lake basin as well as Aasgard were officially closed and so we had to go in and out via Snow Lakes and we didn't get to see much to the W and S from Aasgard. But that's just a good excuse to go back.

Great shot and if you don't know already, the long rambling peak trailing off into the background is in fact Dragontail. Orientation as you ascend Aasgard from Colchuck Lake, D.tail on the left and on past D.tail is a smaller peak which name I've forgotton then Banshee Pass with Mt Stuart on the other side of Banshee.
Thanks for all the great photos of one of my favorite spots.
