What I like about this photo is the sharply-defined edges of the light streak. Also, it seems to be oddly-shaped, almost as if it has an internal form.
Two things that make this photo of an "energy rod" different over other "energy rod" photos. One, I pre-focused the camera on the streetlight. Most "energy rods" are in the background and not in focus. Two, I'm zoomed all the way in to 190mm (35mm equiv), bringing in a lot of internal detail of the lamp. The lamp is shaped like a trapezoid with the short end on the bottom. See the last photo for a better picture. Most "energy rods" are shot at wide-angle, reducing the lightsource to a pinpoint light.
