That is a beautiful structure. I don't know how anyone could abandon it... except of course for financial reasons. It seems we could have done better with the mortgage mess.
That's a pretty color of bricks and has some marvelous detail features. I really like the sideways waffle pattern at center top. When you think of how many people this could house if it were in good shape, it is even more sad.
