mourning doves built a nest in the bougainvillea outside my kitchen window. It took at least two weeks for the eggs to hatch. Then they grew quite fast; parents taking turns in caring for them. When ready to leave the nest, #1 flew straight into the kitchen window; I only heard it. He was OK.
On june 30 I saw both of them under the casuarina trees, possibly eating seeds.
