Giant Tree Iguana, Tortuguero Selva

This beast was about 2 meters (!) in size , the whole branch of the tree was literally collapsing under his weight. These iguanas could be very vicious sometimes and defend themselves very well. Locals are hunting them down because of the delicious meat reminiscent the chicken, so humans represent a serious threat to these species

Superb capture Amigo. Great exposure and you caught this distinguished lizard in very fine style and form. Excellent focus and very good, slightly blurred contextual background. A very good composition indeed. Michael.
