You planted seed of doubts in my mind amigo, since now I think that Achilles fell because he was striken from behind, and with no Trojan protection whatsoever ?!
Wonderful exposure and lighting. A great ghastly image... one that belongs framed in a house of horrors. I believe Michael S. is on to something here.... a fallen Titan.... I was thinking more like a fallen Trojan... and with the hinge top, it is clear that the designer of this helmet was thinking of Achilles, who had his head well protected, but did not protect his feet. No doubt it was this concept that the makers of Condoms used this model of Achilles in naming the most famous brand of condom in the world. You may be a predator.... you may be big and strong, well armed, and well protected in most parts of your body... but you would be wise to better protect your extremities from those fast moving, arrow like dangers, which could bring even the most powerful of men down to his knees. Oh that Predator's helmut could not protect that beefy strong Trojan from the those sneaky and immoral Greeks. Immoral Greeks? Well, that's another story.
