It was a real pleasure working with Ed Jay for a recent event that I sponsored at UCSF Weill Neuroscience Institute. Ed was indeed professional . He has excellent equipment and is a great photographer. He was able to capture the most memorable images of the event in a discretionary manner. He engaged marvellously with all the attendees and made each and everyone of them feel at ease which resulted in genuine expressions. He knew how to cover the event with minimal guidance and went out of his way to accommodate special requests. Ed was most efficient in hosting the images on his website for guests to view. Should you have a special upcoming important event I would not hesitate to refer him to my family members , friends, or business associates. I’ve known Ed Jay for awhile now since my time working at Harbor Bay Club. I was looking for a photographer who was local to Alameda since I was getting married at the Alameda Elks Lodge. I had always loved looking through Ed’s photos of the Raiders and fans. That is why is I knew I was choosing the right photographer for our wedding. He took the candid shots of my family and friends. Ed Jay was just magnificent to work with! He was our wedding photographer for our "Covid wedding". We were lucky enough he was free, considering we planned this in a matter of three weeks.
Since it was a super small wedding, he managed all the photos by himself and had so many excellent suggestions for great pictures. Whether it was pictures from our home to the venue, his creativity just came alive as soon as he area. We let him be creative and do his own thing. And when we looked at the photos afterwards, we were surprised with how many and the quality of the photos. I just want to say thank you to Ed! Being a field photographer at the Raiders, he’s taken numerous pictures of my husband in his Raider gear, so I reached out to him to take pictures for our newborn. Ed was professional, and patient, as it’s not easy to shoot a newborn. The timing has to be right, as there is lots of crying and moving involved. Ed traveled to our home, equipment and all.
